Junior Open Studios (JOS)
Brookline Artists Open Studios is pleased to host the second annual Junior Open Studios (JOS) to Brookline residents in grades 9-12 working in all mediums. Painting, sculpture, drawing, assemblage and jewelry are just a few examples of Open Studios works.
Each Junior Artist will be paired with a mentor, and meet with them at least three times preceding open studios. The culmination of Open Studios is the actual show, held on May 1st and 2nd of 2010, when junior artists will show and sell their work along side their mentor.
This is a unique opportunity, not only to enhance their art, but to work with an experienced artist and develop skills in marketing and selling their work. Junior artists will work together to develop and distribute print media advertising Junior Open Studios. There is no fee but space is limited.
