Brookline Open Studios Application Process
2012 Brookline Open Studios: May 5 & 6, 2012 12 pm – 6 pm
Artists who live or work in Brookline are invited to participate in Brookline Open Studios. Brookline area institutions dedicated to or involved in the arts may also participate.
Open Studios weekend provides artists the opportunity to show and sell artwork directly to the public. It also offers the general public a chance to speak to artists about their work, to gain a deeper understanding of the artistic process, and to appreciate the contribution artists make to their community.
To participate in Open Studios you will need to complete the following steps:
- Application Fee:
- $75 for individual artists who commit to volunteer to help
- $125 for individual artists who choose not to volunteer to help
- $150 for institutions
- Please make the check payable to the "Brookline Community Foundation/BK OS"
and mail to 87 Browne Street, Brookline, MA 02446
- Digital Photo: At the completion of the on line application you will be prompted to send a 300 dpi photo of your work.
Individual participants and institutions will be listed on the brochure with a brief description of their work, studio site information and a full or selected portion of their submitted image. They are also entitled to a page on the www.BrooklineArtists.com website that will include the submitted image, email, website, blog and social networking links and contact information.
Since this is an Open Studios event, we urge you to open your studio or use your home if possible. If you have a compelling reason that requires alternative space to exhibit your work, please note this when filing out your on line application. Due to limited group space Institutions MUST provide their own studio space. Shared spaces will be announced in early March.
